Day 3

Day 3 was spent at Queenstown and our one and only "relaxing" day. Because we didn't go anywhere near the mountains, it was also the hottest day :( so i thought i was quite smart packing a dress (LOL) but then i didnt realise how windy it would get up at the sky view areas so my pose looks awkward in all the photos since i'm trying to stop my hair/dress getting blown everywhere.

Beautiful views below where you are able to choose to bungee jump/sky swing. Just watching them swing in the middle of the sky made me feel faint @@

Taken at Arrowtown, one of the earliest Chinese settlement areas during the gold rush. It has now been preserved into a tourist destination filled with shops, cafes and markets. I didn't take much photos there since it just looks like any normal town =0=

Afternoon = free time so the tour guide left us to do whatever. We made use of the opportunity to catch a 3hr steam boat event onto a separate island which was half farm/half tourist destination. On the lower floor you were able to see the steam engines and the workers; clothes were hung to dry (but i think this was pure decorative purposes for how it was in the olden days)

Upon arrival of the island we were introduced to our guide (below LOL) and taken to a farm to feed the
sheep and deer. Apparently "back in the days" the island was filled with sheep and the purpose of all
the steam boats was to transport the sheep to the farm and back to Queenstown to get exported (i spend way too much time reading all the information brochures/guides, so may seem boring but i love knowing all the historical content of the locations i visit ;]    -- @@

During boat ride

Had high tea at the cottage above surrounded by flowers <3 It was incredibly beautiful because as you sit on the terrace the backdrop was just of the pure blue lake and mountains. In the winter time, this would all be covered in snow!

His name is Angus ! so cute !
